- The deadline
for applications for Fall Term funding is Aug. 15; Spring
Term is Jan. 15
Although the
Scholarship Committee accepts applications throughout the year,
the funding cycle begins September 1st of each year. Second
Semester and Summer School funds are awarded only if funds are
remaining after the fall awards have been made.
After you have completed your application, mail it to the
address below. The Scholarship Selection Committee will review
your application and you will be notified regarding the approval
or disapproval of your application. Incomplete applications will
not be funded until all required documents are completed and
submitted to them for review. The Scholarship Committee serves
on a volunteer basis. Applications received after the initial
award period in September will be reviewed and considered as
applications accumulate (usually on a monthly basis).
If approved, a check will be issued directly to you. The average
award amount is $300 per term. Please indicate where you want
your check mailed on the first page of the application, "address
while at school" (if known), otherwise the check will be mailed
to your permanent address or to your school's Financial Aid
Office. Notify the Scholarship Program immediately by mail (or
e-mail) of any change of address to ensure timely receipt of
checks and/or correspondence from the Scholarship Program.
The Scholarship Committee, upon recommendation from the ANB
Grand Camp, encourages you to become a member of the Alaska
Native Brotherhood or the Alaska Native Sisterhood. Funding
priority is given to ANB/ANS Members.
Once you have completed your post-secondary education or
training, it is hoped that you will strongly consider
contributing to the Grand Camp Scholarship Fund so that future
students may benefit from this program.
